With IPS"! from Williams, your building’s domestic water service is also used to supply heating and cooling water to terminal units located in each room, suite or office. Each IPS"! Terminal unit contains essential features specifically designed to work with IPS"! and is equipped with an individual thermostat allowing each occupant to have complete control of his/her environment.
By utilizing the domestic water system - which is already managed to the optimum water temperature for space heating by code - IPS"! takes full advantage of the “central system” already in the building, saving thousands of dollars in dedicated space heating piping and equipment such as boilers, pumps and storage tanks. Plus, managing the cold water temperature for space cooling opens up the opportunity for energy efficiency, heat recovery and economizer cooling.
It is important to note that with IPS"!, the domestic water does not become part of the mechanical system. The mechanical system is totally isolated from the domestic water system at all times in accordance with IPC/UPC guidelines per local code.
Moreover, when properly designed IPS"! satisfies national and local code requirements.*
* Local code requirements should be consulted and adhered to. Williams is not responsible for final design approval.
